Semester 1:
GPS Mapping
Assignment:
Walk a route that contains a 3 letter word 'LOL' and design a poster that includes the Lat & Long - itude of the GPS track
Assignment:
Create a Map of Rotterdam from your own perspective. (personal map).
Use previous trackings and combine it into a new Map/Poster.

Rotterdam is a new city for me. I only know Rotterdam for its main attractions such as 'Blijdorp' 'Feyenoord' & 'Ahoy'. I have therefore created a hart symbolising the hart of rotterdam, having Central Station (NS) as its starting point and having multiple GPS trackings/Routes leading to locations that make-up for what rotterdam is for me.

Take more risks: Use the logos/locations as a full image, make a collage with them and cut a hart for from that. Experiment!
Here I have used the logos and images to create a hart. I have used 5 harts because I travel to rotterdam 5 days in a week, and turning the poster to the left, you can see that the five harts can resemble one large hart.
Redesign of the previous assignment:
You versus the world & you versus Europe
From the idea/poster above, I have kept the general concept of using a Map.
I have used Risk pieces to show specific things about me and the world.
I have only used the western countries to portrait my Europe. The countries are cut out from current weeks wind speeds from each country.
Why wind speeds? Because as a kite surfer, we don't look at the location of the country or the temperature, we are mostly interested in how many knots of wind there is in that location and if the wind directions are good to be able to kite there.
